Rapid Air Color Pods: Out and About
Rapid Air Color Pods are brightly colored quasi-inflatable pods constructed of hand knit glow in the dark plastic cording and self inflatable air packaging. They are constructed as modular components of varying sizes; they can be inflated, deflated, stacked, pushed and placed to create infinite monstrous and organic creations.
The Pods visit various iconic Seattle locations, ranging from landscape to urban and within this process they are constantly being assembled and reassembled into infinite variations of form. The physical act of moving and arranging, as well as placing these highly artificial neon creations in natural places allows for stark contrasts between art and environment. During this time I photo document the process and interactions of Rapid Air Color Pods, out and about.
